About Sevenoaks School

Sevenoaks School in Kent was founded by William Sevenoaks in 1432. It is the second-oldest, non-denominational school in the UK. The school switched entirely from A-levels exams to the International Baccalaureate in 2006, becoming the first major school to do that.

Sevenoaks School is highly selective one of the most expensive schools in the UK as their annual boarding fees are in excess of £42,000. It is also a registered charity and a former member of the G20 Schools Group.

Is Sevenoaks School right for you?

The criteria for entry are mostly academic prowess. The school is looking for pupils to flourish in their fast-paced environment. Candidates are considered after sitting entrance exams, conducting interviews, and after the school obtains references and reports from their current school.

Open Mornings and Group Visits are held throughout the year to give parents and pupils a basic introduction to the school. Saturday Group Visits start at 9:30am for boarding families and 10:15am for day families and end at 12:30pm.

Open Mornings are held in September and June and are open to families of prospective pupils. The next Open Morning will be held on Saturday, 17th September 2022.

Individual visits are possible for persons who cannot attend the Group Visit or Open Mornings. Individual visits can be booked in person or by Zoom.
