St. Paul’s Junior – Lower First to Upper Third Years – £7,324 per term. St. Paul’s school – Fourth to Upper Eighth form  – £9,162 per term. Boarding fees – £13,788 per term.

Fees are payable by Direct Debit on the first day of each term. They cover tuition, extra-curricular clubs, lunch in addition to other things such as school publications, medical inspections and career aptitude tests. Fees do not cover musical instruments.

About St. Paul’s Boys School

The school was founded in 1509. It takes its name from St Paul’s Cathedral in London. The school is famous for surviving the Plague, the Great Fire of London and the Civil War. The site for the school has changed four times and it settled in its present location in 1968.

St. Paul’s school has a notable publication called The Pauline. It was started in 1882 and has recorded events within the school since then.

St. Paul School is academically selective, although it is open to students from everywhere and every type of background to apply.

Open Days for 11+ entry are always held in September, and likewise Open Days for 7+ and 8+ entry takes place during the first half of autumn term. However, it is also possible for parents to arrange visits during the Spring and Summer terms. Before attending, parents need to book online. Admissions

The entry points of admissions are 7+, 8+, 11+, 13+ and 16+. Entry into 7+ and 8+ requires filling out a form online, with a registration fee of £175.

The application process for 2023 entry just closed on 7th November 2022 for 11+, and applications for 2024 entry will open in due course. Parents have to fill out an online form and make an online payment of £50 exam fee. Only when the boy is offered a place will you be required to make a formal registration fee of £125.

The application process for 13+ entry in 2026 is open and will close in September 2023.

Registration for 16+ entry in 2023 is now closed, but on 1st June 2023 registration will open for 2024 entry.

Exams and interviews

7+ and 8+ students will be invited to sit exams in English, Mathematics and Reasoning. Applicants who perform well will be invited for a group assessment in English lesson, Maths lesson and group-problem solving task.

11+ applicants will have to sit for an ISEB online pre-test. Applicants who pass this test will then be invited for written exams in English and Mathematics.

13+ also have to take the ISEB online pre-test in Year 6. The stage is the interview stage and they have 25 minutes to complete an English and Mathematics test. For 16+, applicants are invited to sit exams in their chosen exams. This happens around early November every year.
