About Wilson’s School

Wilson’s School is one of the oldest schools as it was founded in 1615. It’s located in Camberwell and, as the names fits, was founded by Edward Wilson’s as he wanted something to be his legacy, having had no children of his own.

In 1845, the school was closed down due to a financial scandal but was restored in 1880 following an Order in Council of Queen Victoria. It moved to its present site in Camberwell in 1975, and in 2011, it became an Academy.

Is Wilson’s School good for you?

Wilson’s School has many accolades and academic recognition. Their GCSE and A-levels results have consistently placed them among the highest-ranking schools in the United Kingdom.

The school provides numerous opportunities for parents to visit throughout June 2022. But the visit events for September 2023 for Year 7 have ended and there will be no further visits. More opportunities will be provided for 2024.
